Programs

Lexington Life Academy offers a variety of up-to-date educational programs that meet our students’ individual needs and maintain the integrity of the Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards.

Students are instructed in practical and functional living skills to prepare them to function appropriately in the community, workplace, and home.

Lexington offers comprehensive behavior support utilizing ABA. It is embedded into a student’s day and is incorporated into everything they will do at Lexington.

Lexington utilizes specialized sensory equipment in each classroom. It provides sensory techniques for children to release anxiety in stress through activities.

Lexington students participate in daily specials that help support their educational experience. Students also participate in extracurriculars that promote socialization and fun.

Our Phoenix-South Mountain campus offers Dept. of Developmental Disabilities or DDD Services for children who qualify for the program.

Lexington Life Academy Phoenix-South Mountain aims to provide kids with a fun and safe space to grow by offering the most innovative treatments, all under therapists’ guidance.

Lexington utilizes the five basic principles of the TEACCH model to assist with the classroom’s organizational structure.

Meet the Staff

Daniel Hermosillo

Daniel Hermosillo is the principal and director of both Lexington Life Academy Maryvale and South Moutain. Daniel has a Master’s Degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership specializing in K-12 Schools. With over 15 years of teaching kids with autism, he has been able to apply his experience, knowledge, and love of service to every student, family, and staff member.

Daniel has been the principal at the Phoenix 19th Avenue location, opening the campus and later moving the campus to its current location in Phoenix-Maryvale. Daniel has watched his school, students, and staff grow from 19 students to a remarkable 130 and growing.

Daniel’s philosophy encompasses a holistic approach to educating children with autism. He believes that every child can learn new concepts while strengthening the core of their current knowledge base.
