Lexington Life Academy provides a variety of programs to assist in the educational, physical, social, and behavioral development of our students. All of our staff are specifically trained to work with children who have been diagnosed with autism and related disorders. Lexington Life Academy provides a highly structured environment with low student to teacher ratios. We utilize a curriculum that is created specifically for those who are on the Autism Spectrum while following the Arizona content standards. Our programming is unmatched in autism education and our social skills and behavior development help students and families obtain realistic benchmarks and goals.

From early intervention to independent living, Lexington humbly serves individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and behavior disorders, to promote choice, dignity and independence. We provide distinguished and reputable educational, therapeutic, and consulting services in evidence – based practice.

The staff at Freestone-Gilbert are experts in working with children with Autism or related disorders and their families.

Freestone-Gilbert’s educational environment is created specifically for those on the Autism Spectrum. Programs in Lexington Life Academy Freestone – Gilbert, Arizona!

Students are provided with the Unique Learning System explicitly designed to help students with special learning needs master their state’s extended standards.

Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communications Handicapped Children (TEACCH). The goal of The TEACCH Method is to promote meaningful engagement in activities, flexibility, independence, and self-efficacy as well to help them have a better understanding of their environment.

Based on reciprocal and mutually beneficial partnerships between instructors, students, and community group.

Lexington has partnered with Special Olympics Arizona. Our students will be coached by staff and will be competing in a regional Special Olympics tournament (December 2021)

Lexington has partnered with Best Buddies Arizona and the ASU Prep High School and will be participating in joint social activities throughout the year.

Students, teachers, and supporting families are engaged in our theme for the 2021-2022 academic year. The theme is humanitarianism. We are promoting human welfare! Each classroom has pinpointed a local need and has created plans to support it through vocational skills, art skills, and fundraising.

Lexington Life Academy’s teachers have been trained in providing a visually based, structured, and supportive classroom environment for children.

Lexington Life Academy focuses on our high school-aged students transitioning to adulthood, emphasizing vocational skill development.

Robert Gilmore M. Ed.
Senior Director, Education and Advancement

I am incredibly excited to join Lexington LIfe Academy! As a parent, I am incredibly proud of the work my Son, Justin (Justin Gilmore, Executive Director) has invested into building an incredible program for Special Education students! Additionally, my Daughter, Caitlin is a fantastic teacher within our program. This equates to an immense opportunity for my family, as we share the same passion to make a difference in our world!I have been involved as a high school special education teacher, coach and leader, for 28 years. I was incredibly honored to serve a four-year term with the State of Arizona Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP) as the state representative for private day schools. Today, outside my daily role with Lexington LIfe Academy, I am a high school football referee for the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA).My primary objective is to continuously assist our amazing teachers and create programs to support our students as we grow throughout the East Valley.

Rachelle Blair M. Ed.

D. Rachelle Blair has over 30 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities; specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has extensive experience across the life-span. She is currently the Principal of Lexington Life Academy. During her career she has been across many environments and positions and graduated through the ranks. Beginning as a Para-educator she has also been a Special Education Teacher, Behavior Specialist, Director, Consultant, Advocate, Parent Coaching and Speaker for over two decades. She has a Master’s Degree in Education; Applied Behavior Analysis and is Certified in Early Childhood Special Education, and Early Interventions. She has been a Keynote Speaker for Educators, Parents, and Community Partners for over 15 years throughout Utah in Autism, Research-based Educational Practices, Positive Behavior Supports, and Parenting Practices and is now doing the same in Arizona. Her passion is to empower Educators and Parents with skills to empower their children with special needs. Her greatest expertise comes from being a parent of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Jessica Gilmore M. Ed.
Assistant Principal

This is my first year at Lexington and I am so excited for the new experience. I have been a general education teacher in public school for 15 years. I have worked primarily with children in early childhood and focused on children with ED. I have been in many roles such as reading specialist, instructional coach, and interim principal. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in Early Childhood and Reading Instruction.

Brandi Aguilar
Administrative Assistant/Tuition Specialist

My name is Brandi Aguilar and I am the Administrative Assistant and Tuition Specialist for our east valley locations. My career in the special education field began in 2009 when I took a position as a paraprofessional in a public school district for 5 years in a self-contained classroom. In 2015, Lexington Life Academy opened their first school in East Mesa and I was hired on as the receptionist. As a small school growing rapidly, I quickly began to wear many hats throughout the years and I was also fortunate to help create our non-profit scholarship program, Lexington Education Foundation. I feel grateful and blessed to be able to help parents in applying for scholarships so they can have a choice in their children’s education. I look forward to meeting and working with all of our future students and parents at Lexington Life Academy.

Aaron Moser
Director of Behavior

Hello, my name is Aaron Moser. I am the Director of Behavior here at Ellsworth and Freestone campuses. This year is my sixth year being at Lexington. I started with Lexington in our summer program and then as a paraprofessional in the school. I then moved into a teaching position for our life skills class for two years before moving into the role of the behavior director. My role as the behavior director is that I monitor and deal with all behaviors in the school. I have a behavior team that I oversee in the schools who will assist and help with behaviors while they also work in the classrooms. I also teach and help our students learn ways to come up with different coping skills and strategies so they can use those tools taught to them to help in the classroom, their behaviors during their day, as well as everyday life.I have been working in the behavior field for 18 years now. I have worked in everything from psychiatric facilities to treatment centers to residential group homes and both the public and private schools. In the school settings I have been a teacher and a paraprofessional, so I know and see the different sides of being in a classroom. I enjoy working with our students everyday and care and work extremely hard every day to help our students in anyway that I can. Working in this field has always been my passion and I love what I do every day! I enjoy talking and seeing and getting to know of all our students and parents who come to Lexington. Not only do I have experience working with our students and this field for many years I also have a daughter who has autism. She makes me work harder and harder every day, so I know what it takes to raise someone with autism, and I enjoy every minute of it!
